Roof Gardening

A garden which is implemented on the roof top of a building is generally known as roof garden. In urban environment, roof gardening seemed to be one of the main feature of gardening. Other then decorative purposes, it has other benefits like temperature control, hydrological help and also provision of food. It is a place, which is often used for entertainment and recreation by the building’s residents. Dining and lounging furniture, pergolas and sheds and decorative lighting may also be present in the garden. Trees of various categories like shrubs, ornamental plants, flowering plants, vines and others can be planted in this garden. The lost relation of nature with human beings can be regained by the roof garden concept in the present day’s society.
