The first step in gardening is to choose the plants in accordance with the size of the garden. For first time gardeners it is better to start with small potted plants. They are easier to move about and carry. Some plants need to be kept in shade while others need bright sunlight hence gardening can be a very engaging hobby indeed. Plants also need varying amounts of watering. Some plants need to be watered day like the tropical ones while some arid plants like cacti require watering once a week. Adequate watering and proper care is imperative to ensure proper growth and flowering of the plants.
